Navigating the Workplace Crisis

Demographic and societal shifts are fundamentally disrupting workplace dynamics, challenging our ability to attract and retain top talent at a time when talent is scarce. This is particularly true with our frontline team members.

Building Meaningful Employment Environments™

The last year has been very interesting as we introduced TrailPath Workplace Solutions (TWS) to the marketplace. After spending twenty-five years working to improve “process systems”, it is very rewarding to be shifting to improving the “people systems ”that are the foundation of any organization. This work is critical, as there are many forces impacting our ability to maintain workplace stability.

Demographic and societal shifts are fundamentally disrupting workplace dynamics, challenging our ability to attract and retain top talent at a time when talent is scarce. This is particularly true with our frontline team members.

This means that organizations need solutions to meet modern-day requirements of all team members. We need ideas to create workplace stability to reduce the cost of employee turnover and reduce the significant waste created by workplace instability. We need be to an employer of choice, so we consistently have the right people in the right roles with the right skills and right attitude. We need to actually ‘walk the talk’ when we say that people are the organizations’ greatest resource.

To this end, TWS has conducted research, collected lessons learned, and have designed new strategies being implemented to meet the challenges of today’s workplace crisis. This work has demonstrated how we can build a workplace that is designed to meet the modern challenges of a shrinking workforce, changing employee attitudes and the recognition that people have choices.

In particular, by working very closely with our customers, we have developed:
     - Strategies to build a workplace where organizations and people thrive because they live the belief that the foundation of every organization is its people.
     - Paths to a workplace that fully recognizes that organizational prosperity and team member prosperity are inextricably linked.
     - Frameworks to advance a workplace where dignity and meaningful work are the foundations for organizational decisions, leadership behaviors, and team member participation.
     - Roadmaps to a workplace that is elevated through a clear strategic commitment to a Path for the Organization, a Path for Every Leader and a Path for Every Team Member.
     - Results from a workplace where trust has been established, fundamental needs are being met, the environment is participative, and the work is meaningful.

This important work will continue on and we look forward to sharing more with our community of leaders and team members who are participating every day to build more meaningful employment environments. Learn more by downloading The New Workforce Expedition white paper.
